A really fun event at The Loop – and interesting, as by 11 o’clock this morning it was already 60 degrees – some of the ice sculptures looked like they would not last too long!
We parked near The Pageant and walked up the length of the loop on the sunny side of the street. There was no hurry, and we stopped and looked at the sculptures, went into some of the small specialist shops and generally mingled.
We stopped for lunch at Ranoush, and as we sat there noticed a small middle eastern deli on Westgate. After finishing we went in there to see what they had, and got a few ingredients that might come in handy. It was after 3 when we arrived back at the car – and the thermometer on the car said it was 70 degrees!
Really wonderful to see so many people out in the sunshine enjoying another one of the festivals that St Louis hosts. The (large number of!) pictures are mainly of the ice sculptures, and I didn’t get all of them!
